  1. My web site has been up for a while now - it was put together by a mate which was really good of him but I can guess there is a lot wrong with it. Would appreciate some guidance on where to start some repairs and also whether the thought might be to start from scratch rather than a re-vamp. Am I correct in assuming I should not use flash nor should there be any frames only css - hope I have this right....oh and do away with opening splash page and music - please correct me if I am wrong.... Thanks for any input... http://voyagerspoland.info/
  2. I have looked at the competition and I am sure they know best but none of them seem easy to get around.
  3. So the opion is go for something like a three column css layout, logo at the top, links on the left hand side, text in the middle & maybe a photo on the right hand side. Should subsequent pages have the same layout but maybe more photos...
  4. I appreciate the response - just the sort of thoughts I am looking for. Will have to keep searching. Have looked at the big names holiday websites but to be honest they have not excited me very much - seem too cluttered - with messages/signs/offers - all over the place. I went for the example shown because it was entirely different but now you have said "travel blog" perhaps it's not such a good idea.
  5. Hello As a newbie to web design/coding etc I was looking for inspiration for a travel website promoting just a few tours a year (not unlimited holiday to loads of destinations). I was thinking about usuing a template as a start and after going through loads came across this one. I have not purchased it yet. It needs altering around a bit, I would try and move the magnifying glass further towards the top left and put words underneath the glass for instance. Any thoughts welcomed even if to say "nope". Thanks very much http://s166.photobucket.com/albums/u113/sm...nt=template.jpg
