My apologies, My writing is not very good and sometime leads to confusion. I actually meant from the word familiar that I have learnt HTML, CSS through w3schools and Photoshop from free online pdf books. In my college, there are no web designing books available in the library. So, I try my best to learn through the Internet. One of our designer friend mentioned lynda.com to me in the chat room, It is a very good site which teaches designing through video lectures. But, due to my poor internet connection, I have to stick to reading offline resources. I wanted to learn Adobe Photoshop CS3, I went to a local teacher for help. He said it'll take 6 months and fees would be around Rs. 16,000.

Hello Friends and Seniors, I am new to Web designing. I want a career in it because I really like designing since childhood. As, I haven't been in company of designers before, I know very less about this field. I am very familiar to HTML 4.01, HTML 5, CSS, Microsoft Expression Web and Adobe Photoshop. Unfortunately, I have not been able to learn Javascript, jQuery properly because of paid online tutorials and weak programming skills. Would you please advice me to start in this field and I'd really love to begin smaller projects if possible. Regards, Tej.
