No Fran, not at all, they have done the work which we agreed more or less and it's not quite to where I would like it but I can't afford to pay anymore than agreed in the beginning. I hadn't thought of downloading the file then editing - thanks for that, I will try it Daniel

I'm sure I'd have to pay for text changes and I get the feeling they don't really want to be bothered. Part of the deal was that I get a 'user friendly content management system' which I'm now realising is actually a set of instructions and the knowledge of how to do it and no more than that really.

I'm using the html editor to connect to my site to give me access to the text which I've supplied the web designers. I will need to update and make changes to: addresses, tel numbers etc. Also more lengthly 'about me' text.

Hi Fran, thanks for your reply as well. The Flux that I was talking about is: http://www.theescapers.com/flux/ however it seems more like a web designers tool and as such better to start the website build with it rather than editing one already built. Yeah I've now been suggested to try Smultron after my attempts with Seamonkey haven't gone quite so well. I did download the trial for Sublime but can't fathom how to connect to the site with that one either. Anyway I have Filezilla and now either Komodo or Smultron so I should be ok.

Thanks to you too heydanreeves. Actually using Filezilla so far instead of Cyberduck which was suggested by the guys who built the site. I also looked at Seamonkey which is by Mozilla as an editor too but not sure how well this is working. It's awkward as Komodo seems quite sluggish and temperamental to use. Thanks for the advice though.

Hi Jec, Thanks for taking time to reply. Your advice is very welcome and I will check out Sublime 2. The guys who designed/coded it in the first place said to use Komodo and Cyberduck. I didn't have much luck setting up Komodo to begin with but have now got it to import the HTML files. Cyberduck will not run on my machine so that was a dead duck (sorry) I am using Filezilla so far and that seems ok although your review of Transmit is compelling so I might take a look at that. So far I've uploaded one image but with an incorrect path, altered a little bit of code which then seem to break all the links for the font usage etc. Not great. Anyway I will carry on and hopefully get there in the end. (without breaking too much more)

Hi people, I'm a web novice and would like some advice please. I have a website already built and need a user friendly Mac HTML editor and FTP client so that I can make changes to the site myself. Would Flux be a good tool for me? I am thinking to use Filezilla for the FTP part unless Flux does both? Any recommendations? Thanks Dan
