  1. Hi folks. Thanks so much for the further welcomes and advice. I've always fancied Dreamweaver and have downloaded the trial to have a play with. I have had a go at one of the tuition pages on the adobe site and while I completed it, and could understand what was going on, I can see it is going to be a fun but hard journey. I understand there are other editors out there, but seen as though this is going to be a learning hobby for me I might as well use the one I have always wanted to and see if I can demystify it as part of the challenge! I'm off to look at the web design tutorials page on here, but if anyone else van recommend some good Dreamweaver learning/simple template sites that would be appreciated.
  2. Thank you for the warm welcome. Its nice to see that the people who have welcomed me are some of the folks whos posts I have read while I have been looking about WDF. I have just signed up with TSOhosts on the recommendation of some of you. Off for a play now. Cheers Guy
  3. Hi all I created a few simple web sites in excess of 12 years ago. They were very crude (made in MS Frontpage!!) then tidied up in note pad. In the end I found it easier to make the frame work in Frontpage then hand code using the editor in split screen mode and notepad because Frontpage was that bad. Then it was uploaded using cuteftp. I never got into CSS or PHP and it looks like Flash has been and gone in that time. Frames were the most complicated thing I got involved in! So I'm now looking to get into building web pages as a hobby, mainly for the joy of making things work and also I have a mate who wants a site to showcase his model making skills. Look out for my daft questions as I set out to build a site full of bells, whistles and thing that slide out............. Before I realise that simple and clean is the best way forward! I thank you now for you patience :-) Guy
