Good to know it helped Flash tends to hide sub-menus too, but its solution is equally simple. Just setting the flash's window mode (wmode) to opaque should avoid the flash from hiding the sub-menus.

Hey there. I think I understand what your problem is. The solution is very simple. Since the menu and the slider has position applied, you can use z-index to bring the dropdown menu over the slider. Just give the dropdown menu's z-index a big value. But it has to be larger than what the slider has. I've made this fiddle to show you how to do it.

Hello there! I'd been looking for good sliders recently, and have found a handful that could be used for various businesses. But I found this one template and found flexSlider. The slider in this template is really good and creative too. But the problem is that flexSlider is not even close to the example I just gave. With a bit of research, I found out that the template creator had added his own functions to the slider to give it this level of awesomeness. So, I thought about alternatives to this upgraded flexSlider, and I found Layer Slider. The only problem is, I have to pay for the license. So I wanted to know if there were any alternatives to this upgraded flexSlider or Layer Slider. Thanks for your help!
