well there is a problem using dreamweaver you usually get totally another look in the program then using a web browser when you are using divs atleast it happens to me. i would sugesst coding the website in notepad could be a little hard at first but eventually you'll learn other than that i like the overall design just you shouldent put all the information on one page and like lewwy said you sould use brighter colours.

was able to fix the gap problem by adding a top padding for the content div now ive changed some ofthe colors on the page and brighten up the grey parts i also made the menu smaller. here is the progress: and thx everyone for the great feedback

here is a update tried to move the text closer to the menu but needed to put a br tag in front of the h1 tag otherwise i get this wierd gap. also switched the HTML and CSS badges to a smaller version and placed a bit more down on the page. i am considering changing some of the color on the site but dont really know to what color.

Hi thanx for the advice so far everyone and im looking forward to getting more replies. and mody i would love to remove the XHTML & CSS badge but we have to have them on atleast one page so we can show the teacher that the code has no problems in it or something.
