That was the original idea, but the application never worked. I need to find a way to differential between the content of the header and the content of the page that still fit with the design. Back to the drawing board, I suppose.

I didn't want to go overboard with space out of kindness for someone scrolling on a smaller screen. But I can add some space for larger screens with another @media statement. Do you know a good way to test larger screen sizes on a fixed screen?

Thanks for the feedback. Are you suggesting additional design elements or copy? I intentionally went with a more simple design layout, but I agree that it could use a bit of extra flavor.
