  1. Chris, thank you for replying. I agreed about writing CSS myself, it will help me in the long run. Many thanks, richard
  2. --- Andy, thank you for replying. I am not up to speed with php, and can only write basic html sites containing contact forms etc in dreameaver which look fine, but when it comes to php and sql I've never touched on this. I will need to be able to import product details from excel and images. I was trying to find an off the shelf product such as a module because of my skill set. Any suggestions? Richard.
  3. I need to find a quote module to bolt onto a dreamweaver based website or new complete package (have looked at xcart). I would like to add multi products to a basket and send the details to me via email with no pricing as the industry is niche and pricing changes on product design, steel pricing. Client will be quoted afterwards. I haven't been able to find a quote module which is any good and I am struggling to find people whom can talk about this. your help would be great, richard
  4. Hi, Re:Drop down menu not aligning in IE 8 . Mozilla OK I have inserted a horizontal menu bar with one submenu. This works fine in chrome and mozilla but not in IE8. The dropdown submenu has 9 lines. In IE8 the vertical 9 lines are moved to the right into 3 columns of 3 lines with the outside border overflowing to the right. Please see below my css script. Abit messy but i have just started. Any help would be great. ------ @charset "UTF-8"; /* SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css - version 0.6 - Spry Pre-Release 1.6.1 */ /* Copyright (c) 2006. 5. Hi Rob, I have used dreamweaver CS4 for the last year for basic websites. However I now would like to build a catalog site showing just products with "Add to quote" or "request information". I will have about a 1000 products. Do you know or any good books for designing online catalogs in dreamweaver or do you think it would be best to use a different software for this? There are many online catalog builders but they all look unprofessional. p.s. I don't really have must knowledge of php / mysql. your help would be much appreciated. Richard.
  6. Hi all, This is my first time on here so hopefully you professionals can shed some light on "quote request" options for products. Add Products to QUOTE module or solution requested I am after: 1. A shopping cart layout with multi products(2000+). 2. Product: "Add to quote" option in the form of button. There will be no pricing at the momement for each product. 3. Simple / quick "Send quote request" for all products. Extra information from client needed = Company Name, User Name, Email, Address, Tel etc. 4. I would then contact the client to quote the products via email or phone. I have seen a few modules for xcart which just don't seem good enough. If you can send me some feed back that would be great! Many thanks, Richard.
