  1. Fireworks is a good software to make web designs. It supports both vector and raster. Check this link and you will know why you should use fireworks. http://www.adobe.com/devnet/fireworks/arti..._fireworks.html However, there are some problems like saving images is not as good as photoshop.
  2. Drop down menu can be made in dreamweaver. It has popup option just like Fireworks. Click on the image or the link where you wish to add pop up menu then go to Behaviors> Show Pop-Up Menu.
  3. I am sorry. I did not mean html pages. I meant the initial design layout. I found this from webdesigner forum. Thank You Everyone. http://www.adobe.com/devnet/fireworks/arti..._fireworks.html
  4. Hello Everyone, I have seen most of the designers use photoshop to design websites. My boss also insists that it is a good tool for designing websites. I prefer Fireworks but it does not have good image editing options (there is not path in Fireworks to edit the images.) Which software do you prefer to use for designing websites?

You can try one of these: 1. Slice the big image in smaller parts. 2. Use preloading code in the header part of your web page. 3. Use jpeg or gif file. 4. Use a separate table for the image panel.
  8. Hello Everyone, I am a professional web designer with 6 years of experience. I like to keep updating my knowledge in web designing. I feel that by discussing we can teach and learn a lot of things. It is good to be with you all.
