Finally I've joined a forum and can see I'm going to learn a lot! Some really interesting topics under discussion. I come to web design from print and publishing. I studied graphic design/typography working in reference publishing and teaching typography/information design. My particular area of interest is in page design - how the content works with the image, the navigation/functionality. I love client contact and constructing a clear brief. I'm keen to start talking to those with skills complimenatery to myself...i.e. in the build/backend. Let's talk1

Hi Stewart Interested to hear about your plans to work in web development...they're not disimilar to my own except as I'm experienced in client contact,briefing and page design, I'm keen to make contact with those working on the build/back end. I've just joined the forum today too and it looks like a great place to connect. I'm a typographer/designer coming to the web via a long career art directing in publishing and print. I've done lots of other things besides but now I want to involve myself in web design...I have an understanding of code, CSS and Wordpress but know it's not my natural arena so I'm interested in exploring the idea of working with those with complimentary skills...could it be financially viable to split the job? I have a couple of self employed people who want me to design their sites but need a team mate so keep me posted on how you're progressing...I think both of these sites could be perfect in Wordpress with an off the shelf free theme. If i can help with presentation ideas...let me know srs
