  1. I agree with most of what has already been said. Also I think the side-bar with navigation links would have more impact if it were higher up on the page, it seems like it could end up being below the fold of the page. In addition, the map caught my eye - smooth lines between the cities would look better in my opinion, the current lines look quite 'hand-drawn'.
  2. Also, I dont think anybody has mentioned Sitemaps. Have you submitted an XML sitemap to google etc? This will help them to index all of your content, and will ensure no pages are missed out in their index. David
  3. I didn't know such a tool existed! Looks like this will come in handy!
  4. Thanks for the welcomes! I do have a website, but it is just a very plain holding page for now! I have been so busy working on my portfolio that I haven't had a chance to launch my own site yet!
  5. Hi Jean, I am also new here! Welcome from another newcomer David
  6. That is really good! I would be bragging too if it was me! Congrats
  7. Just wanted to say Hi to everyone on the forum! My name is David and I live in Edinburgh! I started designing websites about 7 years ago! I have recently started to build a new portfolio, and so far I have created three online-shop websites for my clients, two of which are based on my 'Shawcart' system which I have developed myself. I am competent at both designing the site and integrating with my own systems. I prefer to code my own systems as this gives me much greater flexibility than off-the-shelf packages. I normally use the php language, although I also occasionally use javascript as well. If anyone would like to know more, or see any of my work, just ask I look forward to participating on this forum!
