  2. No your not being harsh, this is exactly what I have been after. I need multiple views and opinions, but I don't understand if you speaking as a professional designers or as a general viewer. I need feedback from both but, I'm struggling to see exactly what areas your pointing at. Why doesn't the site feel right? What could be changed? The comments so far are too vague, I need professional guidance and areas pointed out. I understand this is a forum and everyone will have their opinions, but they are no good if they aren't shared in a constructive manner.
  3. Thanks for the comments everyone, I think maybe it is a bit stark. When designing the site we took successful competitors site into account, and customer comments and comments from surveys. Our feedback was for a simple site, clean and to the point without to much on one page.
  4. Keeping the design in fit with my clients was prime when thinking out the site, easy management and SEO was also important. Unfortunately when starting this site I didn't know a great deal about the key factors to web design and as you can tell this passed off onto the site. The website serves for information and marketing, it is important we don't stray from our market area. I wanted to portray a friendly feel for home customers while maintaining a clean simple and to the point layout for our business clients.
  5. Like I said I'm by no means a web designer, There should 3 fonts on the index page? I have just looked up on grid systems but don't really know where this applies to my site.
  6. Hello everyone, I was pointed here by the guys the the UK business forum and told this was the place to go for a website review. I have been working on this site since April while managing the business, Its wordpress based and sits on the Atahualpa theme which has pretty much been taken apart and redesigned completely. I'm looking for very detailed feedback regards design, function, content layout, color, speed, navigation, features, initial impressions and code errors restricting SEO. I have cross tested with pretty much every browser and fixed all visible errors. One problem I do have is the H1 and H2 fonts they don't work with machines that don't have the fonts installed and revert to a default font. Is it possible to embed these somehow so they are read and appear the same on all machines? Website URL: http://lakewooditsupport.co.uk/ Target audience: Home users with an age group of 45-60 and small to medium business owners. Industry: Information, communication and technology

Anyway I have a few sites most of which use wordpress to manage, I by no means call myself a web-designer but I do all the business websites myself. My expertise lay in IT, but I really love design, photography and I also have a small business in media publishing and photography. You will find my site under the names Lakewood IT Support, I don't want to post links as I'm not sure its if allowed? So hello from me .
