  1. www.wix.com - you can create free flash websites with no knowledge
  2. Hello. I have been learning about website design for a few years now. I am 18 years old and started out with free websites like piczo. Ok - yes, this wasn't website design.. it's justr what eventually lead me into learning it. I discovered about HTML after finding a website that inspired me greatly and I still remember it now - aethereality.net. I wanted to learn how to make webpages as great as that and to learn I copy and pasted the source of the coding into Microsoft Frontpage, started pulling bits of code apart until I eventually learnt what 'bits' of coding meant what until I could make my own and understand it. Once I started to understand HTML I learnt what CSS was too. I am still by no means an expert but I can do basic HTML + CSS. I also bought my own domain where I display my photography and website work. I used photoshop to design how I wanted my sites to look then re-created them. I really started leanring how to do the coding when I started fansites for my favourite celebrities. Through this I learnt how to customize wordpress templates BUT I'm still learning this and I am yet to make a template that it completley widget and menu ready, with no need for the user to edit any coding. I know that HTML + CSS is a very small peice in the puzzle of website development and am keen to learn other things.. namely Javascript, ASP to enhance my understanding of website design + development as I, as I'm sure many people here get a great satisfaction of creating something I am proud of, even if I don't sell it or no-one sees it. My father used to be a program developer so I hope that I have inherited some of his interested for coding [and his intelligence and logic ] I am a student and am going to study European Business + French at university this september, so website design + programming is a hobby for me. I hope you've enjoyed reading my story.
