Anyone experienced similar problems?

Hi there, I'm using jQuery tabs, like those found on jqueryfordesigners which hides/displays content depending which tab is selected. I have Flash in each tab and the idea was for the Flash to play when the tab becomes visible - such is the case on Firefox, Chrome & Safari. However, IE8 auto-plays the Flash in every tab, even if the Flash isn't visible, so when a tab is selected, half of the animation has been missed. I've tried changing the 'param' element's 'wmode' value to 'opaque' and 'transparent' which was suggested to me, though this has not worked. I've also used javascript to change the 'param' element's 'play' value to 'true' (defaulting at false) only when the tab is selected, though have had no luck. If anyone has any other suggestions or knows of any documented techniques, It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rich

Hi Tomika, This is pretty straight-forward to achieve... Create a div element which spans the full width of the page, and set its background as an image of the gradient (it need only be 1px wide) using the value of 'repeat-x' on the CSS 'background' property to repeat the image across the page. (or you could set that background to the body element instead of a div element) Within this div, create another div element that's centred to the page and use the full image of the light rays as its background.
