  1. Thanx :-)
  2. I've created a simple menu, see Menu. It appears there is a small margin between the individual menu items, how can I get rid of this margin? I've set margin on 0px already. Probably it's something simple, but being new to this topic, I'm currently in the state of staring to my screen :-)

You're right... The problem was that the hosting server does not report any errors, all I got was an unfinished html document that was stopped processing at the error, without error messages. But I found the error.. It felt a little bit like walking in the dark, but I'm there, without downgrading alright. Thanx!

I have Apache 2.2.18 installed together with PHP 5.2.17 and it's working well locally. But it's running with errors at my hosting provider, who is running 5.1.6. In order to reproduce the error, I want to downgrade locally from PHP 5.2.17 to 5.1.6. This is what I did: - downloaded PHP 5.1.6 - extracted this to C:\PHP (same dir where 5.2.17 was installed) - copied php.ini-recommended to php.ini - made some adjustments to php.ini: * short_open_tag = On * display_errors = On * session.save_path = "c:\php\tmp" (and created this dir) - restarted Apache Unfortunately, Apache does not start after these changes. It gives the general error "The requested operation has failed!". Error.log contains no loggings about this error. I've checked httpd.conf and it says: LoadModule php5_module "c:/php/php5apache2_2.dll" This file seems to be non-existent in the PHP5.1.6 distribution. So I copied this file from the PHP5.2.17 distribution to C:\PHP, but this does not solve the problem (same error on start of Apache). Then I changed the line to: LoadModule php5_module "c:/php/php5apache2.dll" (since this file was existent in the PHP5.1.6 distribution), but this also does not solve the problem. The manual for installation that I use (http://www.thesitewizard.com/php/install-php-5-apache-windows.shtml) says that I should use php5apache2_2.dll for apache 2.2.x, and php5apache2.dll for Apache 2.0.x. But since php5apache2_2.dll is not existent in PHP 5.1.6 (and php5apache2.dll is), does this mean I have to downgrade Apache to 2.0 in order to run PHP 5.1.6?? If not, what else can I do to run PHP5.1.6?
  5. Pat, oops, thanx...
  6. Did anyone work with individually rounded corners in CSS3? Border-radius works fine (delivers 4 rounded corners), but -moz-border-radius-topright / border-top-right-radius does not work. The strange thing is that -moz-border-radius-topleft / border-top-left-radius works fine! So I can get a rounded corner only in the top left, but not a rounded corner only in the top right... My code is below. This code delivers a box that only has one rounded corner (top-left)... This behaviour is consistent across Chrome, Firefox and Opera. Any ideas? <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Rounded corners</title> <style type="text/css"> .round { -moz-border-radius-topleft: 15 px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; -moz-border-radius-topright: 15 px; border-top-right-radius: 15 px; border: 1px solid #333; width: 100px; height: 100px; } </style> </head> <body> <div class="round"></div> </body> </html>
  7. Hi there, I am relatively new to the webdesign business. This means: lot's of questions :-) I've always been working as a business analist and photographer (no relation), but I decided to make a career switch and webdesign is cool stuff, so I thought let's give it a try! I look forward to meeting you on the forum! Mickey.
  8. It works, thanx! I appreciate it.
  9. For an Ajax application I want to use the following javascript code: function displaytimer(id) { document.getElementById(id).innerHTML = "<table class='wrapper_for_centering'><tr><td><img src='images/zandloper.gif' alt=''/><br/>even geduld aub...</td></tr></table>"; } Unfortunately, the W3C XHTML validator says "document type does not allow element "table" here [XHTML 1.0 Transitional]" Any ideas how to solve this? I want my application to be XHTML compliant...
