Hi all I have created my site as .HTML not sure if this was the right thing to do, I have been out of touch with creating websites for serval years now and have never created anything which is interactive to the user. I am now fiddling around with a MySQL database which hold 'products'. How can I create individual product pages for each record in my MySQL database? By only creating one page (if that makes sense). Like Amazon, all information is pulled from a database, they dont manually make each product page, thats what I'm getting at Also how do I get certain products to appear on the homepage? Is it a good idea to hold images such as jpeg files in a MySQL database? If not how would I save the products image? I have tried searching the internet for the answers, I am probably not using the correct termanology. I appreciate any help given Thanks, Dan

Hi all I have a slight problem, hopefully someone can help me! Before linking the ‘Features’ button to the Features page. After linking the ‘Features’ button to page. As you can see (in the attached files) Before.bmpAfter.bmp wherever I have sliced the template .psd file and exported to dreamweaver, all the slice makers are shown? Like cracks. Does anyone know why this is happening or a way to solve this? Thanks Dan

Once again thank you for your help. I am having trouble understanding how I get the information from the database to the PHP page. Do you set fields? so that when the product is selected the image goes into a certain place along with text and description etc... My server supports MySQL how do I go about creating this as a database, like you would in access - with field headings etc... not sure how this is actioned. Sorry again I'm completely new to all this, and dont want to sound too newbie-ish Dan

Hi all I have just joined to forum because I am in need of some help. I am trying to create a website, and have done pretty much all of it so far. Though I have now come to the point where I have to design a page that will act as the page where all products will be shown when clicked. Though am having trouble finding help with this on the internet and what I call it really? Basically what I need to do is create on 'template' where a product is shown in more detail when clicked from another page where they are all listed. For example, when you search for a product on Amazon, you are shown a list of products that match your search, when you then click one of these you are shown a page containing price, reviews and a product description. What do I need to do to get something like this, because I know that Amazon and online stores like this do not create a page for each product haha. Any help would be great sorry to rant on just dont know how to explain what I mean properly
