Hi guys and girls So ive resesigned the site from top to bottom. Earlier criticism included too much white space and large fonts. I've toned it down, and hopefully added enough content to help the white space blend better. it follows a fairly standard design layout, and ive focused more on simple yet attractive graphics (although not stunning, certainly more effective) I would be grateful of any feedback Rich autoboutique-smart-repairs.co.uk

ok So ive decided for a complete redesign, and wondered if you guys would cast an eye over it. its still open to lots of re-jugging, and ive desided to go back to the drawing board. Ive used it as a good opportunity to learn some new skills, although some of it is basic stuff. k Please let me know what you think Rich http://autoboutique-smart-repairs.co.uk/abnew.jpg

Thanksaslot guys. I'm gonna take your ideas and work on it. Maybe throw up a revised edition over the next couple of days. I agree with the White space. I'll try an incorperate a complementary background, nothing too ott, and tone down the font. I'm going to have a look up on jquery. I must admit, I'm not a coder, but have been meaning to sit down and learn something useful! I just used flash as it's quick enough to get the basics, even if it does rule out certain popular media formats....mostly the iPhone.

Yeah. I think with the font size I'm over compensating for my largish computer screen. Anything smaller seams to get lost when Im looking at it, so I notch it up another point. Thanks for looking. Much appreciated

Hi all This is my first post on the forum. I'm not really an active web designer by any stretch of the imagination. I've tinkered for years, dipped in and out of various Internet marketing whirlwinds (and failed) but learned a few things. I threw this site together for a good friends small business in return for some work on my car haha. He's chuffed to bits withit, which I suppose is all that matters. I'm looking to expand my web design portfolio and try to pick up some more 'sites for favours' to hone some skills. Just wondered what the general opinion of the community was. http://autoboutique-smart-repairs.co.uk Many thanks Rich
