How do I integrate social tracking code
Hi Guys, been pulling my hair out with this one as javascript can look a little alien at times... can someone tell me how I integrate social tracking into my page? - I want to have my pages social activity tracked to help improve rankings in google - i want to track likes and shares - i want to be able to monitor this tracking in google analytics. I've checked the google documentation: Social tracking , but to be quite frank - if someone can just throw a coded example of what i put into the header that'd be great (as I still don't quite grasp it.) many thanks renaldo

Hi 'weblink' there are many handy tools... www.backlinkwatch.com www.iwebtool.com www.compete.com these tend to be standard seo tools for most pro's as there is no way of conducting solid market research otherwise. Head over to www.viperchill.com - his techniques are awesome. Hope this helps

Advice Needed - Are there any softwares that suit my needs
I agree cib, but I've had many nightmares with cartthrob and simple commerce, and while really great (as expression engine is my cms of choice over all others) I think if you are setting up a site primarily focused on e-commerce, you should get a solution that is built for that natively. E-commerce in EE is more of an extra and while great for a few simple products is a nightmare for a larger range... although admittedly I'm still speaking of 1.7 - I'm sure 2.0 is great!

Advice Needed - Are there any softwares that suit my needs
BIG Commerce All the way Cyber Wizard! Stay away from the cheapy garbage, it will turn your client into a nightmare...sincere and friendly advice! I blog about it or you can just head over there and see for yourself. If you wanna do a test run, I can set you up a store through my partnership program no probs, you won't go back I assure you... I've been so impressed I've revamped my business to focus primarily on ecommerce through this platform as you can really do anything from fully custom designing to integrating with ebay and shops in a flash. I have a personal store which I use as a case study. BC is very much geared towards seo in addition to other things, and within 3 weeks we're already ranking page 5 for competitive short tail keywords searched for 1000+ per month. Inbox me any help you need and if interested in getting a trial store setup. I'd more than happy to help, take care, renaldo

How do you measure competition for keyword phrases?
There's some great keyword research tools out there guys in addition and to compliment the google keyword tool. Try Market Samurai...it's very impressive (hehe no I'm not an affiliate) it's a tool of a great blogger I follow: Pat Flynn and I've taken it for a spin myself and was very impressed! Were SEO my sole focus right now, I'd defo use it. Tools wise, head over to Viperchill this guy is always sharing the best research tools to use for the keyword research. There's loads of nifty little ways to really speed up keyword research, I think it may be worth a blog lol. Check those guys out, they have a fantastic blue print works and pat shares everything openly... good luck Ren

A returning Birmingham 'E-commerce through Big Commerce' developer
Hi all, I'm returning from a elongated absence so thought it would be worth another 'Hi my name is..' post. I'm Renaldo, a Birmingham based web designer/developer evolved into an e-commerce specialist, working solely with BigCommerce. Like many I started in the 'everything web' category but quickly realised the limitations of one man and how large our industry really is, so the cross-road to get out of the 'general' arose and led me down the path. I'm here to share, network and collab with those who can do what I can't and where I can provide solutions where they can find benefit. My tools of choice: Expression Engine for CMS's E-commerce through BigCommerce HTML/CSS Web Design through the obvious photoshop If you're new, ask questions and feel free to follow my blog where I'll be sharing a wealth of free info. I wish I asked more questions to those more experienced in the industry when I first started out, so don't waste your opportunity to accelerate your growth by taking the benefit from communities like this one! Ok, preface over, do checkout my portfolio when you get a spare minute. look forward to meeting you all, Renaldo

customizing the interspire cart
Hi Guys, just wondering if anyone here has any experience with customising interspire templates? I'm currently trying to quote up a job and can't seem to find anywhere with some handy info in customising the raw the html/ php files - how detailed they are etc. Any help or info from someone with experience would be handy? Also any info on a rough estimate on turnaround time from design to delivery would be helpful also? Thanks in advance Renaldo
