The website I have inherited at work has a javascript menu that allow, a couple of links in a drop down menu. I have done something like this using Dreamweaver before, but I do not have access to Dreamweaver at present. I want to : Add a new item on the first menu, so that it will link to a new page I did it by: Opening the javascript file for content, (there is another one called menu which contains the code for the menu itself, from what I can gather the code for compiling any menu) Then finding the first menu, and adding a new item underneath following the formatting in order to replicate an item but with the name obviously different and the .htm filename corresponding to the new .htm file i wish to link to. What happens: I lose the menu entirely, I no longer see any of the menus, I am working with the files on my computer but not up online, I don't understand how me editing the content of the menu, can stop the menu working, is it possible that I cannot edit the javascript files due to not being in software like dreamweaver or has the menu been locked?
