I actually just did a complete overhaul. My teacher told me "It is too depressing and distracting". So following his words and all of yours, This is the basic layout I've come up with. I'm not too sure if there is an easier way to convert this over in dream weaver, other then just trying to put in a whole lot of div tags that match up perfectly. I'm REALLY new to all of this stuff xD. I am going to post the link to the new layout , I would really appreciate any more advice you could give on the overhaul, and maybe an easy way to carry this over into dreamweaver. oh, I almost forgot. it is supposed to be a very neutral and subdued background, made to resemble a desk with a perfectly straightened stack of manila folders on it. It is really neutral, because this is supposed to be the site I display my portfolio on once I graduate in several years and actually have a portfolio. Thank you for your time and responses

thank you again. Think I will stick to a more simplistic design. The more I fool around with the template, the more I agree with only having one nav bar and dropping the ink things on the edges. Other people I have talked to have also agreed that it needs color of some sort. Having trouble deciding between a blue or green based color scheme at the moment. My class is in about an hour and I'll have to figure out if I'm even following the assignments perimeters xD Take it easy

I should have clarified a bit about the image xD. There will only be one nav bar on all of the other pages, the double one will only show up on the portfolio page, in order to navigate between the different categories. The dripping thing I'm not 100% on. I think I would like to make it look somewhat like ink, and it would be nice if it could be animated in some way that wouldn't make the page load terribly slow. My development skills, however, are some what laking as this will be my first site ever, so I might be over shooting my skills a bit. I'll see if I can throw some colors in so it is less creepy when visited. Thank you for your time
