  1. Hey Rob, This code looks fine to me, though i'd encourage you to learn to layout with div tags rather than tables. It's a little bit trickier , so if you want to learn the basics with tables, that's fine. But non tabulated layout is much better in my opinion. The is a non breaking space. They are inserted in the table cells because some browsers may collapse the table cell if there is nothing in them.
  2. Hi guys. I'm trying to organise a charity abseil event in my home city of Newcastle in the UK and am currently working on putting together a website that has all the information about the event and a way to sign up. I hope to get about 50 people signed up and each get them to raise about £100 each that will go towards funding my Thailand Jungle Expedition. All profits (of which I hope are a few thousand) will go to Diabetes UK. Anyway i'm telling you that, so that you get an idea of where I am coming from. Please could you spare a moment and have a look at my design so far and tell me what you think? http://www.ikham.co.uk/images/charityabseilpage1.png Any feedback is much appreciated.
  3. Hello. Pleased to meet everyone here. I've been designing websites for some years now, though never for a day job and it was all learned in my spare time. I've done a couple of paid for websites, but mostly it's all been for fun or to help family and friends. My biggest website peaked at about 15,000 visitors a day and is still going, but I don't look after it as much now. Anyway, I thought i'd sign up here to get some good tips and hopefully show off some of my stuff and receieve some advice from the experts.
