Once again thanks for the reply - and I apologise for diggin this thread up. The reason I have done so, is I have just signed up with Home Learning College for a web Design course although not sure what your views are on that .....It contains 5 books worth of content and tutorials and assignments. Book 1 has 80 pages - and I have managed to read 41 pages in a matter of days. On page 42 there is a tutorial question - and there is one question I need help with - although i'm sure it's something very simple The question asks: I have underlines the part of the question I am getting consufed with, what is a special text attribute? I thought it would be text in bold, undelined, italics or different font style, colour or the h1, h2 etc but the latter of the question made me think that all I have mentioned are all styling rules I would be very grateful if you guys can help me out. - Desi (p.s. Heya - thanks for the reply guys I have just borwsed through the 'tutorial' section - and I am not sure what makes for a good starting point in to web design Also, when I posted the initial post - which was a shade under a month ago - I have STILL not recieved the info pack from the course from HLC, which is really ticking me off. So, is there any pointers in the meantime where I can learn web design on the net? Also - to reflect the lack of knowledge of my web design competence at present - I only realised that PHP and mySQL are cruical components of web design - I was under an illusion that it was all about HTML Guys, I would really appreciate it if you can point me in the right direction, I really want to get cracking in building a career in web design. Hello everyone!! I have only just discovered this gem of a website, and I had to double check by asking my brother if the web address was actually '.co.uk' Extremly rare to find a specialist web site in web design that is based in the UK so now, I feel more at ease and home with the wording Right, I am VERY new to web design and have been spending the last couple of months browsing the net to begin a career in web design and am on the verge of signing up to a course with 'Home Learning College'. So, fundamentally, I will be looking up to the expert users with vast experience to learn from - and those who have great knowledge that I can utilise . I am VERY sorry if I have babbled on a tad, but I would love to get to know as many people as possible on here . - Desi
