Hello to all. I have a website already, well a number of sites actually, all using the same host. The sites do get a fair amount of visitors, particularly one of them. They are also in dire need of modernisation. So far I have taken them about as far as I can with the hosts templates and add on abilities. I am thinking of buying Dreamweaver and then buying a ready-made template to use. (there are some nice ones out there) If you havent guessed I am clueless with such modern technology and the last thing I want to do is irreparable damage to my existing site. Dreamweaver seems the best option but the main unanswered questions are 1) I already have a site on the server, can I build a new site on my computer without publishing it until I am sure it all works and looks the way it should? 2) Is there another way for easy updating a professional looking site I do not want to name my site as I would hate for a link in google to end up directing people to this thread and my lack of ability…. I can supply the link via PM to anyone here that is interested but lets just call it my site in reference please.. No it's not my www.emmarky.com site that i asked for help with previously.

Hey guys, 2nd Post and probably in the wrong forum and maybe even in the wrong website I see mostly you guys can develop your own webpages. Me well, i am not so gifted. What i am looking to do is pay to get an online host and have my very own photo hosting website. Something similar to the functionality of Photobucket where photos can be uploaded and linked to other sites. But without the advertisement. Be nice to have a well organised and easy to use site which will play a slideshow etc. Is there such a thing available. Mark

Hey guys, I don’t have much idea about web creation, only thing I have ever created was my website and that was via an online tool. Did manage to make the background my own in the sub pagers though and added a few links that I am proud of.. Main reason I am here is for help with my next website which I will post in the right forum (hopefully) If you want to have a look its www.emmarky.com but be warned it was intended for friends and family.
