i got the idea when the retention on usenet grew to 400 days , suddenly uploading got very "productive" , it's not like p2p ,where you would have to keep in seed for months , just upload it once to the usenet servers and for the next 400 days anybody can download it at max speeds plus with astraweb being 11$ a month , almost everybody could afford this , i pay 5 times more to my isp then my usenet provider the site would be a necessity cause browsing on usenet is possible only on one good site , nzbmatrix, that has more then 7200 documentaries manually indexed currently on usenet , but thery're not categorized and has many other flaws on p2p there are a lot more docus so i (and many other that already do so ) would upload them from p2p to usenet , and reupload them after the 400 days (in the future it's going to be even more) and here's some other ideas from the top of my head > 3 types of rating systems for documentaries : nr.1: giving the docu a rating from 1 to 100 nr.2: word rating , just like on ted.com nr.3: comment rating , which will have its own 10star rating to find the best comment > everything very well organized on categories and multiple ways of browsing for ex:tables view with multiple column sorting , covers view (like here or better ) ,thumbnail view with a litle description ,and other ways that would make browsing a fast and easy experience, so that you can get what you want and when you want it > plus the site wouldn't have any mandatory fees , 100% non profit > shared usenet accounts for those that cant afford one , so that everybody can have free access if this would work ,the same model could be used for ebooks ,movies,etc this is the next logical step in the sharing of information and if i wont be able to do it ,in the near future someone else will

i've been trying to make a documentary indexing website,similar in ideas with Wikipedia (organizing information for free, opensource), where documentaries(from p2p and usenet ) would be classified and categorized in the best way possible, i have a lot of ideas that would make it a whole lot better then anything that's out there , and from what i saw there are over 20000 documentaries shared on the net that are very very chaotically distributed and unorganized i managed to make a table like this one, but that's about as far as i got , i'm not a web master , i'm just a biology student , would anybody like to join this project ? i really think that once the coding part would be solved the uploading and categorizing of documentaries would be very easy , and i know a lot of people that would do that but unfortunately the're not coders either i dont want this to be my website/project , i really think we could team up and everybody could contribute and share ideas , everybody could benefit enormously from a site like this
