Constructive Critiscism would be great!
Hey guys started learning web developement, html , css and php at uni and I managed to get a placement year as a web technician at a school. The first website I have created for them is the first website I have ever had hosted so I feel quite proud. Obviously I know that there will be glaring errors a beginner like me cannot spot. If any experienced designers could have a look I would be really grateful: http://www.goodwithfood.stb.coop also I am currently making a website for my friends band to practice my php skills, they can add there own gigs and member details etc..please take a look http://www.illusionoffear.co.uk any help would be really great, just so I know where to improve in the future really, thank you

Dynamic page
Hey everyone im just working on my mates band website to boost my portfolio up abit and want to try and make the members page dynamic. http://www.alanmturner.co.uk/illusionoffear/members.php as you can see ive made four image/buttons for each band member, I want to make the page so that when one of the images are clicked the relevant information for that band member is shown in a box below. I am hoping doing this will allow me to just have one members page and not a different one for each member. I have looked into using XML to store the data but I have no idea how I would go about recalling it. Does anyone have any ideas or tips? thank you very much

Div Positioning - PHP
Hey everyone, just started my first protfolio site and it looked great as html, when I changed the page to php and used "include" function to display some of the divs, so that they can then be edited in one php file and be dynamic throught out the site, my layout messed up. I want the follow me, links and latest product to all line up on the right side of the page. I can achieve this without the latest blog div but as soon I had that to the left of the page the whole layout goes boom! anyone know where im going wrong? any help would be truly appreciated. http://www.alanmturner.co.uk/index.php

PHP, images not showing :S
Hey everyone just making my first website for a band. Made the basic layout in html and was quite happy with it, I then thought I could use php to make the site more dynamic and have the latest gig showing on every page which is called from a single file. To do this I resaved me index page from .html to .php now when I view my file through localhost none of my images are displaying, all the layout is correct so the style sheet is attached properly but anything where a image needs to be called: background, header etc is just blank. Any ideas where I have gone wrong? any help would be much appreciated, i have attached a few files incase they help. Many thanks gig.php index.php style.css

Image Problem - Light Blue Background
Thank you for your advice, it does appear to be that he is using IE6, I agree with him that other people may also be using this so need to change it to gifs, which is the best way to do this, I am using firweworks at school and usually use photoshop at home so I am a bit clueless. I have tried the save as a gif option but it just makes the whole image transparent instead of just the background, any advice would be greatly appreciated. ps, i would take your advice about tellin him to upgrade but this is my third day at the job and dont want to spoil it! haha

Image Problem - Light Blue Background
He could have been yes, his concern was that if he got that error then many people could to, if its a problem in IE6 is there no way I can solve it at all?

Image Problem - Light Blue Background
Hey, this is my first post on this forum so any help would be much appreciated. I have just created a website as part of my job as a web technician at a school, the sites images and layout loads perfect in both firefox and explorer. I then took the site downstairs on a pen drive to the head master and when he opened it on his computer all the images I had set as transparent PNG's appeared to have a light blue background. DISASTER! If anyone has any pointers i will be very appreciative, Thank You
