  1. Thanks for your reply and the site really does look like a good way to get started, but due to the timing of this project I am looking for good premade examples, tutorials or perhaps a basic version of what I need. AJAX is definitely something I will be going to study later on though.
  2. Hello there, A website I have in the making is in need of a pretty advanced search function, with several options that adjust themselves according to the users input in the above fields, now I have heard that AJAX is probably the best solution to do this, there aren't really that many examples that I have found and my own experiments failed. The website is about products, so for example if a person would press the dropdown and select "Desktop" from the list, the dropdown below should automatically change itself according to "Desktop categories" the information should be handled from out the MySQL server. Does anyone on here perhaps know a tutorial/example to start from or is able to points me in right direction? Thanks in advance, Raphisto
  3. Hey webdesigners, I am currently in the progress of developing a File upload system which is all working out good so far but I was wondering if anyone knows a sufficient way to put a Password on a file with PHP before it proceeds to open in your web browser. So let's say you have a file named instructions.txt and by clicking the file link it would simply open in your window as a text file, but I want my browser to ask its users to fill in a password first before it proceeds. Mainwhile I will try to solve this problem but I look forward to your suggestions! Thanks in advance, Raphisto
