Hi,
A client of mine had a website developed by a profesional webdesign company. Because they were very expensive for little additions and edits she turned to me for maintaining this site and making some small changes.
One of the changes is to change the text of a button. I've tried to change it with Gimp and Fireworks, but I'm not good in graphics and gave up because the color of the font was not right and the font was not sharp. See attachment dn_nav_2.gif (Familienaufstellungen).
An example of the original one with the right color and sharp font is dn_nav_1.gif (see other attachment Voice Dialogue).
Now I think it has to do with the background of the website and with alpha channel in the gif. In dn_nav_1.gif (Voice Dialogue) I see in Gimp that the font is made up out of different colors, some resembling the backgroundcolor of the website.
My question is, what kind of software is used to accomplish this? And how is it done?
Cheers,
