Hey Everyone! I think I figured it out...unless it's a temporary fix. I guess we'll see. I realized that I needed enter in the height of the div tag box After I enter in my text. Thanks for all your help! Christina

I am not using floats. I imported my layout from photoshop and then selected the slice I want to put text in, deleted it and then created a div tag for it. When I type in the first line it is fine, but when I push enter to type in the next line that's when it gets distorted. The slices are spread out. Here is the CSS code: <td solspan="5"><div id="product_content"> <p>Product Groups</p> <p> </p> </div></td>

I created a Div Tag for text in a box in my already designed layout. For some reason I can type only one line! When I hit the [Enter] key to go to the next line and check the Firefox browser for errors the layout is distorted, but in IE it's totally fine. How do I fix this?
  4. Hi Traxor, Thank you very much for replying. I am very new to web design and I do not know what WYSIWYG means. Attached is a pdf of the page I want to create on dreamweaver 8. I don't know CSS very well. I've just skimmed the surface of CSS knowledge and I've been learning as I go. I've been working with the split view on Dreamweaver 8 to learn a little of what's going on with the coding aspect. I've tried using tables to create this page but I haven't gotten it to work well. Please let me know how I can go about designing this page on dreamweaver. Thank you, Christina hyd_valve_and_comp_page__2_.pdf
  5. I have a box that needs to contain text, a background image and 2 buttons with pictures placed on top of the buttons. **NOTE: These buttons will have a mouse rollover to highlight the button and the pictures placed on top of the buttons.** I imported my PSD layout into Dreamweaver 8, so my page is already set. All the images/ slices are placed where I placed them in photoshop. But I didn't know how to slice out the buttons that are on top of a background image without chopping up my background image. So I hid the buttons and just sliced everything without the buttons and text. Now, in Dreamweaver, I know how to add a background image in a Div tag for the word content, but I don't know how to Add the 2 buttons on top of this Div tag. (By the way, the buttons are placed in the center of the right-hand side of this image.) If this is not possible, does anyone know how to insert these buttons (with the pictures) on top of a background image? Also, I have trouble adding text on the background image in the Div tag for the word content. After I add the background image I type in my text and then the text distorts the layout. But if I delete the text in that div tag and leave the background image the layout goes back to normal. grrr... Please help!! Thanks, Christina
