Best image resolution for an online art gallery?
Hi. What's the best image resolution to use when displaying paintings online - I'd like it to be large enough to look good at 1280x1024 but don't want them large enough for the visitor to copy the image and get it printed onto canvas themselves? I use a javascript viewer so when they click on the painting, it dims the background and opens the image centered on the page. I have tried using 600 px wide images but they look slightly too small when centered and on their own, so am currently using 900px wide which looks good but is this giving the visit a chance to print them out of themselves at good quality? Thanks.

I've updated the site, so please let me know what you think... updated site (The about section will be in first person style, but we're still writing it). Thanks!

Thanks for your advice everyone - I originally wrote the about section in1st party and Sarah asked me to change it but I'll try and persuade her as I agree 1st party would sound better. I'll look at the fonts and font colours as well and have a playaround. My concern was that it looked too basic. Right, now to work on a checkout area....

new artist website
Hi. I'm setting up a site for my wife to sell her art online. It's still in progress and as such I haven't added prices or a checkout yet, but would like your opinions on the design layout etc. We wanted it to be simple but not too amateurish, but I feel it needs something.... www.sarahruggeri.com Many thanks, Roberto.

new site for artist
Hi all - I'm new here. I'm a beginner and have designed a website for my wife to eventually sell some of her art online. The address is http://www.ruggeri.co.uk/sarah It's nowhere near finished yet but I'd like your opinions on the layout (especially the homepage). I've kept it very simplistic - until I get to grips with HTML and CSS. Thanks!
