Hi everyone, I said i'd be back soon I have recently built a webpage that i had up on the net and all working as it should, with pages linking etc, I decided to add a feedback page following this tutorial here i followed all the instructions to the word, but after putting all the changes to my website, the site has now ceased to work, there is one thing that it may or may not be, and your help would be greatly apreciated. when i went to syncronise the site, clicked preview site and it gives you a list of the files its going to upload to the web, I think i neglected to ignore the index.dwt template file that i had been advised to ignore on previous occasions, because now when i put files to the site its no longer in the list to ignore and i'm not sure whether this has caused my problem? Ok, just to double check before i do anything that may mess things up further, I've done as you said, clicked in remote view and it has brought up the list of files /htdocs/ then sub folders, i found the index.htm JScript script file, is this the one i'm looking to delete? Sorry to sound like a right dumb ass, but its a very big learning curve for me, I'm very grateful for your help. Nick

Yep, deleted them all from my computer!! But, deleting them from my server (gulp) sounds tricky!! Can you point me in the right direction?? If i save my new page index.htm and put it up on the www will that solve the problem?

Hi Pat, Thanx for the response here's the link to the domain Visit My Website this is the old home page the new one i found after a bit of a brain wave and i added /index.html at the end of the address and there it was, so all i need to do now is get that page to appear when i type in my domain Please could you explain where i'd find the cache and cookies i need to empty, I told you i was a bit wet behind the ears as far as this goes, lol P.S let me know what you think of my first attempt P.P.S the newer version isn't complete yet as you'll see!!

Hi everyone, got a bit of a newbie question/problem!! I made a webpage in dreamweaver and uploaded it to my domain, that was all fine! I then decide to redesign it, i did this by making a new page (and deleted all the files from my folder of the original one) I then uploaded the new one. The problem i have is the old one is still there and i can only view the new one by putting /index.html at the end of my web address!! Now before people start throwing lots of technical jargon at me, i'll warn you, I'm a very newbie to this web design stuff, as in before last week i'd never even considered being able to create a webpage let alone think i'd be on a forum discussing it So bear with me.
