Building with Angular on a Laravel API

Hello,
I've been tasked with building a replacement Admin area for my employers website using Angular.  The Angular front-end will speak to an API built with Laravel.  Now I'm just starting to learn the basics of this will work having much experience of HTML, JS, PHP, SQL.  I've never built something using one Framework built ontop of another Framework, I think the collective term is JAMstack but I'm not sure. 

I'm thinking it's like Angular is like Bootstrap, in that Bootstrap makes things look nice if you have HTML but without the HTML it doesn't do much.  So are there projects that build interfaces with Angular or on top of Angular?  Basically looking to have something that has the fundamentals like User Permissions, Form Automation or Menus.

A couple of terms for what to search for would be great, I've seen some acronyms like MEAN and would like to know more.
