Can I, to save money...

Featured Replies

Design my own website by hand with an pencil & paper? And then get someone to copy that design onto a computer. Will this work?

Also, about using images on the net. How do you know if images (i.e. google images) are copy right? I've attached some pictures I may use for my website.

Regards, Matthew

I doubt it will save you money to make a sketch of your design for the web designer. There is very much more involved in making a website than having the initial idea about layout.

If you found those images on Google image search, chances are you can't use them. If you need images for your site, you need to buy them, or find someone who offers them for free. istockphoto is very reasonable, often offering images for as little as $1.

There are loads of resources out there for free and low cost images, try stock xchng. There are lots of others, but I can't think of them right now. I'm sure there are some threads covering this on the forum is you have a look around.
