Why I'm here - tech help

Hi there,

I'm new, literally just registered. Hello!

Unlike most forum sites, this one doesn't have an obvious "Posting rules" page - I'm the nerd who actually reads those things! I don't want to upset anyone. Sorry if I missed it, but I'm not sure I'm in the right place, and thought it best to ask.

I'm interested in a bit of help with the tech side of hosting - DNS, IIS, and that sort of thing. Kind of the step before website design.

I won't get in to detail here, I'm just asking three questions:

1 - is this kind of help request welcome on this forum?

2 - if so, am I likely to find such help here?

3 - if not, any suggestions?
