July 8, 200818 yr Hello guys im looking for help... i made a site on iweb with my mac... i saved everything... i saved the site page on my stick so i can view on my pc it doesnt wants to show so i wanted to know how can i upload my site to a free web host... how do i upload the site i made wat do i need to upload etc.. i made the site for someone but i send them the link and they cant see anything on it unless i send the hole folder to them but im tryin to sell it so i cant afford to send the hole site i jus want them to view the site link so they can see wat i have done... and how do you upload a site to a .com? i baught my domain name already n i have the site fixed but i wanna kno how to upload the site from iweb to mydomain.com ... can anyone please help me out step by step.. i wud be really happy with that...
July 8, 200818 yr Author Have you bought a domain and hosting? yes i have but before i upload it to the domain i wanna show her it via email by sendin her a link to preview it... i made it for someone... i wanna use a free domain n host in the meen while... do u kno how i can do that? ihave the site loaded on my desktop in folders..

You could create a new folder on the domain using ftp and just copy paste the website in there. The you can then send a link to you client with something like www.mydomain.com/testsite . This way you probably won't get unwanted visits on your website.

July 8, 200818 yr If you already have the domain, why not do what rjdejong recommended? That is how most people work. It will make it easier to put the site live once the client has okayed it and it is also a good idea to have the test site on the same server to test compatability.

July 8, 200818 yr You need web hosting. Where did you buy your domain? See if they offer hosting. You may already have it. If not, I recommend you contact them.
