Hi, I do some basic web design and coding as a hobby. It would be fantastic if someone could point me to a tutorial/sample code for a responsive menu with dropdowns that works well. It doesn't necessarily need to be free.

I tried one that I found on the web which at first looked very promising. However, I later found it didn't function properly on certain devices.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Robert. I am very grateful to you for writing this tutorial and sharing your code. It is very cleverly written and the menu looks really good. Unfortunately I don't think it's quite what I am looking for. I think I would prefer a mobile version where you could tap anywhere on the parent link to reveal the child elements rather than just an area on the right hand side. Unfortunately I am not clever or knowledgeable enough to modify your code to do this.

 

I also noticed on the BartenderBolaget site that there seems to be an issue when viewed on my iPad mini (landscape). When you tap on a parent link the child elements appear briefly, but then the parent page automatically loads.

I've just tried 'SlickNav' and that works well. However, it only creates the mobile version of the menu. It would be good to find one that creates both versions. Any help would be much appreciated.

Firstly use Bootstrap. Its responsive and works both in desktop and mobile devices.

 

Then use this for multilevel dropdown BS menu
