Filezilla or winSCP ?

Which tool should i use to upload files to the server ?


Which one are you using ?

I recommend learn, or google the few unix commands it requires for SSH and use that, I don't imagine any professionals can be using FTP these days unless forced to work on some kind of legacy software.

 

Everybody should be using version control e.g. GIT and that ties in very nicely with SSH :)

So is SSH just like using Terminal in Ubuntu/Linux? Same commands and everything? So you'd use cp to copy files over to the server, for instance?

 

(Sorry to post in this thread, I just wasn't sure this question warranted a new one)

I think the command is scp for a secure copy?

 

I used to use Filezilla but I got bored of using it so I had a look for something better and I think I found it with WinSCP. It's a good little app personally.
