February 18, 201511 yr Hi Peeps I am new to bootstrap 3 and I am looking to design and code my first fictional website using this great framework. The client I am designing for is for a fictional design agency and what I want to achieve using the bootstrap framework is to create a customised video jumbotron/carousel hero area at the top of the page. What I mean is that I want to drop in a short video clip purchased from istock and make it 50% opacity and then underneath that I want to have a slider of 3-4 images that would auto scroll underneath at the same time that the video is playing over the top, but because the video clip is semi transparent, you would be able to see the images auto-slide underneath, partially through the video. Is this possible using the bootstrap framework? What steps would you peeps recommend I take to achieve this, and how difficult would this be to pull off? Thanks in advance Dark Knight
February 18, 201511 yr It's possible but you need a good understanding of CSS box model and layouts. But why would you want to do this? I know it's fictional but one of the biggest things in web is making your website have great UX, This would just merely frustrate and confuse any visitor. If you don't have a strong grasp of CSS, then drop Bootstrap and learn the underlying fundamentals. I actually think Bootstrap is a poor framework and it's only real use is for rapid prototyping, or very cheap low budget websites. It's poor because it's very bloated and makes far to many design decisions for you. Edited February 18, 201511 yr by rbrtsmith
February 18, 201511 yr Can you not just include them inside the original video. Seems overly complicated.
