June 27, 200818 yr Hi guys I've been to see a client today who's requested fade effect on page load. (Don't worry, i don't specify this as an option, he asked specifically for it!!!) Ive set it up using Dreamweaver, only problem is, the items display for a split second before disappearing and then fading into view as asked. ****
June 27, 200818 yr I know that with script.aculo.us you need to set the area you want (in your case body?) to hidden using inline styles. I don't know how spry does it but it's maybe worth a try. Otherwise you might need to delay the spry effect until the page has loaded (using onload). I know this is a bit cheeky but why did you let your client talk you into this in the first place. You should have laid down the law, its is f***ing terrible idea!!!!!!
June 27, 200818 yr Author I said i'd look into it! I'm far too nice! Its currently set to onload, and i think that's the problem! Could i put a div layer over the top and fade that out instead? How would that work?
June 27, 200818 yr Author Yes, ive sorted it by Overlaying a black div floating layer and setting that to fade I do love solving my own problem * Got another problem now! How do i remove the layer after loading? You can't click through it! sorted that as well
June 28, 200818 yr Author Anyway, i think the client wants a rebuild (or 'refresh' as he calls it) every 6 months, so if i do as i told (to some extent!) im looking at a contstant income every 6 months
