September 16, 201412 yr Hey All.Sorry to post here, I am at a loose end with trying to find a relevant forum and you are my last resort. I work for a web design and publishing company, and we are currently looking at pushing our books to Kindle, iPad etc. Not something I am overly familiar with and researching currently.I am finding mixed things online on the best way to approach this. Some of our books are not standard formatting and obscure sizes, so I would be right firstly in that these would need to be re-created to the correct dimensions? Secondly, if we are to re-create or in future when creating a book, is it best to create two versions, one for print, and one for digital? Is it best to have the E-Book version as HTML? If so, would we need to have the pages designed in Photoshop as we would with a website design and have a developer code them into HTML, allowing the use of animation etc?I have checked export options from Indesign to HTML but from what I gather it would still need to be coded as it does not generate the relevant CSS.Just looking for the best way, and some advice on creating digital ebook version of our books, anything is appreciated.Thank you!
