I have messed around for most of the day, and still can't conquer this thing.

 

Take a look at this link below and look at the bottom left corner, you'll see that I have included and curved corner image in black, onto a black background. I have used coreldraw to produce it and saved it as jpg, gif and png but still i can see a gray line between the image and the black background. I have set the image to black, RGB black 000, and then exported it into the above three formats. Dizi said that the image was showing a different web black, not true black and the outer limits were grey. But like I have said, I set the original image to black, true RGB black.

 

It goes without saying that I want the image to be seamless with the black background but it is driving me nuts that nothing I do changes anything. I know it is nothing to do with the style sheet and I have turned off the border to 0.

 

I think it may be something to do with corel or the exporting process, but I don't know and can't mentally progress with the rest of the project as its bugging me that much.

The problem is your header image. You have a 1px line of grey at the bottom. I have cropped it for you and saved it at the correct size for your page. It should work now.

Thanks for that mate. but did you see the graphic in the bottom left, that also has this grey line around it, any chance of croping this one for me fella. Thanks for your help mate, much appreciated. I don't know how this line is there.

Hi mate. I used your croped header image but still displays a grey line, so i guess if you croped the corner image that to would still have the line. Any other ideas? maybe something to do with coreldraw, or the exporting process?

That's weird.. I copied your code and used my image to generate a page locally, and there was no grey line there anymore. Have you updated the page on your server as you go so that I can see?

You should take a look at GIMP - it's an image editing program which will let you crop, resize, redraw etc etc your images. It's free! I use it all the time, it's a little bit like photoshop, only less expensive...

Dood, thank you. It did work I must have been tired or I'm not actually very clever but I did not upload the new files to the server, but I did update the image file path in the html, which is also wierd because it shouldn't have found any image.

 

Anyway, thanks mate, perfect solution and you saved me alot of messing.

 

I'll try the software you mentioned, sounds like a good thing.
