I want to develop a website for my hotel and I am facing problems with it. I don't know where to start or how to. Some one told me to hire this e commerce website design it will be helpful but i smell scam here because of these reasons please help me find a good site or verify me that this site can help or help me to create myself I am a absolute beginner so i need help. Your help in this regard will be hugely appreciated.

Bit confused. What is your preference - hiring someone to do the site for you or creating it yourself? If you're hiring someone to do it for you, then you don't really need to know much about web design as you are paying for the skills and service (however, it would be an advantage to know as there are a lot of people out there who take advantage and charge for open source work).

 

If you're keen to do it yourself, what are your current abilities? Are you familiar with HTML, CSS - JavaScript? Sometimes people say they are an absolute beginner but it then transpires that they do know HTML and CSS minimum. If you're brand spanking new to this field and you don't know what any of these acronyms are about, designing an interactive hotel site might be a little overwhelming. If there isn't a deadline, I suggest taking your time to learn the ropes. If you're looking to get noticed online, perhaps hiring a professional(s) to do the work for you would be better. I'm sure there are a handful of people on here that might be available for work that would be interested. Who knows.

 

Never heard of the company you refer to. No idea if it's a scam or not as I didn't really read it. Their own site isn't really a marketing revelation, so with that in mind you need to think how your site would look. There are some highly skilled people on this very forum with experience in this field. Worth hanging around for feedback

If you want to make it yourself, you've a long road ahead of you from an absolute beginner. If you rush it and/or don't learn effective design and code, your site will turn out badly and, especially in an industry where impressions are everything, be detrimental to your business. If you're a complete beginner in design and development, I strongly recommend hiring a professional.

 

If you're looking to hire someone, thoroughly look at their portfolio and pick someone who knows what they are doing. Don't go for the cheapest option, good websites aren't cheap. It's shocking how many bad firms and bad sites are out there.

Ed. There's also the option of a website builder, again don't go for the cheapest one. Before you commit, look at other hotel sites, good, established ones, and make sure yours would compare.
