Creating custom interface to phpbb board

Need some Web design help.

 

I'm trying to create an interface to a PHPBB board which uses ajax.

 

I've used Jquery's .LOAD to write the output from the /phpbb/index.php to a DIV in my page.

 

It

loads up everything correctly minus all the CSS. I've been going

through the template files and writing a piece of jquery to catch the

link .CLICK and use the .LOAD to writed it to the DIV but I can coming

across a lot of {U_SEARCH} type pieces of code which I cannot pass into

the .LOAD of the jquery.

 

 

I'm not great with PHP and any clues as to what I should be learning will be a great help
