Hi guys, I've been doing a bit of seo research before designing my new site and came across something that a Sprite (single image with smaller images co-ordinates positioned would load quicker than a page with lots of thumbnails.

 

I already have a beautiful php script that automatically generates my galleries and saves a lot of work, but I am concerned with seo being ruined by taking a long while to load.

 

My website will have a lot of images. What should I do?
