I'm actually doing school for management expert and i have to do a speech with powerpoint for my final examination.

 

It's
about green energy and I have actually no idea, how to design it. I
really like simple designs with a understated highlight.

I thought
about a light green background, but this is probably the most chosen
colour for this theme....and whats about the progress bar? How can I
design it upper-class, but simple?

 

I don't need graphics etc...but I would appreciate it, if somebody can give me hints, how it could look like.

Hello, phoenixblood.

 

A green background is quite literal, but I guess you aren't being marked on your design skills, more your research, presentation and conclusion, etc... Start with a blank canvas and add to it as you go along. The best design work is unnoticeable. I would expect you want your audience to relate to your content rather than if something 'looks nice' so don't add any unnecessary bells and whistles.

 

It's difficult to put all the key areas you need to focus on in just one post but you need to be aware of how your audience's eye will be drawn to colours, shape and space. PowerPoint is relatively easy to use, so you don't need to spend additional time on markup and code. Google is most likely your friend in this case. Do a search in the image sections and get inspired by how others are doing it effectively then adapt that to how you represent your data. That said, don't just add drop shadows and 3D effects if it takes the focus away from the actual presentation! Also, focus on a decent font, making sure it's a font that people can read
