I've recently switched from using Frontpage to Webmatrix 2.0.

When I was using front page, I used a frontpage webbot to put the date a file had changed in the html file thus:-

<!--webbot bot="Timestamp" S-Type="EDITED" S-Format="%d %B %Y" startspan -->

so that on the webpage it displays like this

Webmatrix doesn't support this.

I know Webmatrix can use asp or php scripts to do this, but the hosting server does not support either.

 

Does anyone know another way to do this?
