Hello again everyone. I'm really struggling at the minute.

 

I am in need of some detailed help regarding the structure of my website.

I have been building my website and I've noticed that targeting keywords is going to be difficult

and as such it wont make sense if I target keywords that I should be targeting instead of forgetting about them

 

Can anyone dedicate some time to speak to me on Skype regarding the structure of the site.

I just need someone who is experienced in sorting the structure out first.

 

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I'm not experienced so wait for the others to come along, but what I'd say I've learnt from working on large scale projects is by the time you're building you should know exactly what you're doing and shouldn't really run into any problems like this. The build is the last bit. Before that you have project plans, sitemaps, wireframes, design comps before you even write anything in HTML. You can do this on a smaller scale by simply writing up some user journeys and putting together some drawings on paper, or you can do a proper scale by writing briefs, creating site maps and detailed wireframes. Saves headaches in the end.

 

This is just what I know though, I'm sure others with much more experience will have other ways of going about it.

Thanks for you reply. I probably should have stated, I'm building this site via WordPress using a Theme, to cut out the labour in writing code and so on.

 

I know that WordPress out of the box is loved by the search engines for it's code anyway, so I'm taking this route.

 

The wire-frames are out the window as I just don't want to use them.

 

A sitemap on the other hand is going to be useful.

I need a structure that I can work around in terms of Keywords, so I can target as many different keywords as I can to become an authority site.

The building of the site isn't the hard part for me, it's just structuring it, what links I'm going to have on my navigation and so on.

 

That all comes from around the structure and I'm lost in terms of where to start or how to build an image of what linking structure I need to show on my homepage.

 

I hope this makes sense.

Uri Geller doesn't post on this forum as far as I know. You're going to need to explain your problem if you're looking for a useful reply.

I don't know whether I understand the problem to be honest but keywords shouldn't be effecting your structure.
