May 30, 201214 yr Hello all New to the forum, so hi! I have a few questions, open to ideas, suggestions etc. Currently looking to develop a new web project. Ideally would like to employ a graduate/student willing to work on a freelance basis, but having trouble with where to start looking. Questions I have are (in no particular order): The state of the job market for web devs who have recently graduated from college/university - do they get jobs easily? Where do they look for jobs? Is there a typical job/activity they do in the meantime (eg working at a clothes shop to make ends meet, etc)? Both generally and in the North-East of the UK? How to tell who is a really good dev or student dev/recent graduate. How and what to ask by way of right questions, and the kind of answers that will show to us which ones know what they are talking about What students/recent graduates typically look for in an employer? Any help/comments on the above would be gratefully received. Thanks Steve
