Vista Gadget Query

A friend asked me if I could write a vista gadget radio player that had all his favourite stations on it. I made the gadget without any problem but I was just wondering if it would infringe any laws. Personally I can't see how it is different than streaming it through wmp, winamp, realplayer etc however most people would navigate to the site and click the "listen now" button or something similar (others if possible may bookmark the stream). Is taking the stream itself and "hardcoding" it into a script unlawful. Just curious cos i've seen a lot of these gadgets around.
