Ok so I am building this website for a client and he wants links on either side on he content for different websites but when i tried expanding the #big_wrapper div and tried putting them in divs that float left and all that and it just didnt work out so how can i make it so the background image has the things i want to be links and they are the links.

An example below, the columns on either side are out of the wrapper and in te background image.

Place some transparent images on either side and create links from them...
