A newbie getting back into web design

Featured Replies

Hi everyone! I'm a sucker for great and attractive design so I guess that's what made me register in these forums. I'm not usually a forum-goer, but I gathered I need some support. I learned to hand-code websites around the late 90's when there was an annoying little program called Frontpage that I didn't want to use. CSS wasn't heavily used back then although starting to get recommended by that time, I only learned a few tidbits of it.

I'm still trying to learn how to code layouts in CSS, and I've taken a few lessons in JS. But there's still a few things I haven't wrapped my mind around quite yet.

I'm currently studying to get my Dreamweaver certification, since my main career right now is music. But I'd really like to get back on the road to becoming a professional web designer and maybe a developer as well.
